I found this hard to put down, even read during dinner. Maxwell Sinclair is a third owner of the Underworld gaming hell and has increased his wealth to live above his station in life. His past eats at him as he seeks revenge until he is confronted with Vivienne Beaumont. She captures his attention despite the difference in their standings. He is sexy and protective of her but in denial of his feelings. Vivienne needs a cause to keep herself busy. She is intrigued by Maxwell. I loved her spunk in doing what she felt was the right thing. She also had the strength to go against propriety because she wants to follow her heart. Danger mixed with steamy heat kept me reading, and I look forward to the next book in this series.
