Book two is just as engrossing as the first.

I am enjoying this series and look forward to the further adventures of Maggie and Robert. Their lives have not been easy, and this story shows how family can be there for you or against you. The abuse that Maggie undergoes by a man that she once thought she loved is a lot to bear, but she does not give into despair. Her dominant side comes to her rescue as she turns the table on her captor. Robert is completely unaware of his wife's predicament as he fights off assailants of his own to fall prey to religious fanatics and actually loses his memories. As with the first book, I could not put it down. I needed to know how they were going to survive and find their way back to each other. I look forward to the next installment.
