This was the second in this series that I have read. I have been drawn into the world and need to read more. Danika is a widow with a child who feels cast aside. She has come to a gathering at the recommendation of her late mate's family but would rather be somewhere else. Overhearing the wrong information places her and her son in danger. Malcolm comes to their rescue, a little reluctantly, as he is in the middle of his own revenge set up. The two struggle with their feelings in the midst of trying to stay alive. I look forward to more.
