This story kept me sitting in my car, not wanting to go in to work or home. I had to know what would happen next. Scarlet is taken to the past when she wished to get away from her fame. Laird James Hepburn captures her, thinking she is the enemy. Her odd speech and ways confuse him but do not stop him from falling for her. I fell in love with James from the start of the story. He is a brooding Scot but loyal to his king, his family, his men. Scarlet is such an independent young woman and did not quite know when to stop pushing. Angeline Fortin's words and Antony Ferguson's reading had me feeling like I was there. This is the second but my first in Angeline's A Laird for All Time series. I will be looking forward to more. I received this as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
