This was a fun and enjoyable read. Angelica is a strong woman, determined not to marry and flaunts convention because she wants to write like Mary Shelly and Mary Wollstonecraft. She was willing to dress like a man to make sure her stories got out there. Her curiosity messes with her plans. Her interest in the home of Ian becomes her downfall, yet it also becomes her happy future. Her whirlwind courtship, marriage, and rise as a Duchess had her confused as to her feelings. In all of his life, Ian had never met a woman like Angelica. He risked a lot to make her his wife except his heart. He made major mistakes until he finally listened to his heart. It took Ian almost dying to make things clearer for both. This book kept me up as I could not put it down because I just had to finish it. I highly recommend this book, and I look forward to more from Brooklyn Ann.
